Shafiq Traders has no office in Multan. Multan has its own dry port at Sher Shah, established in 1988, whose appraisement work sits under the Faisalabad Customs Collectorate, and its own Model Customs Collectorate on LMQ Road for the customs business the dry port does not cover. Between them they clear a great deal of what the region ships — raw cotton, yarn and produce like mangoes going out, textile machinery and agricultural inputs coming in — and we are not licensed at either. What we clear is the same cargo at the other end: Karachi Port, Port Qasim or Karachi airport if it moves by sea or air through Karachi, or our own office at the Lahore dry port if it is filed upcountry instead.
Textiles and agriculture, both directions
Multan's trade runs both ways. Raw cotton, ginned and spun into yarn in the mills around the city, and produce such as mangoes and citrus, move out. Textile machinery, spares, dyes and agricultural chemicals move in to keep the mills and the farms running.
None of that needs to reach Karachi or Lahore to clear. Sher Shah handles it locally, and Multan's Model Customs Collectorate handles the customs matters that fall outside the dry port's own appraisement work. We come in only when a shipment is already moving through one of our own stations instead.

How we clear a Multan shipment that comes to us
This is the route when it is not going through Sher Shah.
Booked for Karachi or filed at Lahore
The shipment is booked to move by sea or air through Karachi, or declared at our Lahore office if it is filed upcountry.
Movement under bond, if it started inland
A container filed upcountry moves between stations with the duty still unpaid, under Section 121 of the Customs Act, 1969.
The Goods Declaration
Filed on the Pakistan Single Window at whichever station the shipment reached, and examined if the system selects it.
Duty and release, or export loading
An import is assessed and duty settled before release. An export is examined against the declaration and loaded onto the booked vessel or flight.
On to you
For an import, transport onward to Multan is arranged through a carrier. We do not own the trucks.

Multan's mills and traders sit alongside the rest of the register, cleared through Karachi or Lahore the same as any other file.

Sher Shah exists so a Multan business does not have to send its file to Karachi or Lahore, and for a shipment that suits it, that is the better route. We are not going to tell you otherwise to win the file. What we offer is clearing the same cargo at Karachi's port or airport, or an upcountry file at Lahore, for whoever's shipment actually needs that instead.
