Where we work · Lahore dry port
Our Lahore office has stood outside Mughalpura dry port since 1987.

Mughalpura, on the eastern edge of Lahore, is where our Lahore office has stood since 1987 — the original office, four years before the one at Karachi Port. Goods bound for Lahore usually land first at a seaport, Karachi Port or Port Qasim, and move up-country in-bond under Section 121 of the Customs Act, without duty being paid at the coast. The Goods Declaration is filed only once the consignment reaches Lahore, against the Model Customs Collectorate (Appraisement), Lahore, which also covers Prem Nagar dry port and the container freight station at Thokar Niaz Baig. For what we do across the city more broadly, see our Lahore page; this one is about the dry port itself and how an upcountry clearance runs.
The original office, and what it covers
Our office is Room No. 2, 1st Floor, Sarmad Building, outside the dry port at Mughalpura, and it has stood there since 1987 — before the Karachi office, before the Karachi licence, before PaCCS. This is the firm's original address.
Mughalpura is one of three stations under the Model Customs Collectorate (Appraisement), Lahore, alongside Prem Nagar dry port and the container freight station at Thokar Niaz Baig. Our Lahore page covers the office and the city; this page is about what is specific to clearing a consignment through the dry port itself.
The stations this collectorate covers
| Station | What it handles |
|---|---|
| Mughalpura dry port | Containerised import and export cargo — our office is at its gate |
| Prem Nagar dry port | Additional dry-port container capacity, near Raiwind |
| Thokar Niaz Baig CFS | Container freight station capacity for the city |
How an upcountry clearance actually runs
A consignment bound for Lahore is manifested for transhipment at the seaport and moves up-country under a customs bond, before any Goods Declaration is filed. An officer of customs is deputed to superintend the transfer at the port of first arrival, under Section 121 of the Customs Act — that is what lets it move without the duty being settled at the coast.
The consignment does not clear in transit. It arrives at Mughalpura and is entered for import there, in the same manner as anything landing directly at a Lahore station, against the same collectorate. Nothing about the file is open until the container is physically at the dry port.
What happens between the coast and Mughalpura
The bond gets the container moving. It does not get the file opened early.
Transhipment at the seaport
Manifested for onward movement to Lahore under Section 121, with a customs officer superintending the transfer before the container leaves.
The bonded transit
The carrier moves the container up-country. It is in transit under bond, not yet under a live declaration.
The Goods Declaration at Mughalpura
Filed on the Pakistan Single Window once the container is physically at the dry port, against the Model Customs Collectorate (Appraisement), Lahore.
Examination, duty and gate-out
If the file is selected, we are at Mughalpura for it. We settle the dry port's own charges alongside duty and taxes, then move the cargo out.
Companies we have cleared through Mughalpura
Textile mills and machinery importers upcountry have moved consignments through this dry port since before it had a Model Customs Collectorate to answer to.

The transit itself, seaport to Mughalpura, is a bonded carrier's schedule, not ours, and it runs before the Lahore file is even opened. We do not shorten that leg or promise a date for it. What we control is the bond and the paperwork being ready so the transit is the only wait left.
